EPL-6516B steel piston fully automatic production line

This production line is mainly used to complete all the machining processes of steel piston semi-finished blanks from the start to the finish of fine machining. The entire production line consists of EMAG VL-4, a set of CNC irregular external cylindrical lathes and a set of CNC irregular pinhole boring machines. The parts are transferred using a combination of articulated robots and a ring-shaped material path, achieving high flexibility and high automation of the production line. The overall technical indicators of the production line have reached the international advanced level.

Production line technical description: Mainly composed of 3 EMCO vertical lathes, 1 double-column CNC piston irregular outer circle vertical lathe (using a set of linear servo tool post system), 1 CNC piston irregular pin hole boring machine, etc. Workpiece transfer uses 2 FANUC articulated robots and 1 circular transfer track to cooperate to complete automatic loading and unloading, realizing unmanned automatic processing. It mainly completes the rough and fine machining processes of the piston's outer circle, ring groove, top surface, combustion chamber, pin hole, and valve recess.

This production line has a total length of about 19.0 meters, a total width of about 7.0 meters, and a total height of about 3.5 meters. The production line uses Mitsubishi multi-channel bus control. A typical workpiece piston weighs about 5 kg, and the processing cycle is about 180s.
