Fully automatic production line for gasoline engine pistons

This production line is mainly used to complete all processing content from the start to the finish machining of Φ70~100mm ring-type aluminum alloy pistons (after casting heat treatment, external circle and top surface rough turning) blanks. The entire production line's processing equipment consists of Taiwan Fukuyu vertical lathes, Mazak vertical machining centers, a set of numerical control combined boring machines, a set of special-shaped outer circle vertical lathes, and special-shaped pin hole boring machines. Parts are transferred using a combination of articulated robots and ring-shaped material channels, achieving high flexibility and high automation of the production line. The overall technical indicators of the production line have reached the international advanced level, and the finished pistons meet the emission standards of Euro 5, Euro 6, or China 5, China 6 of OEM manufacturers.

  • Description
    • Commodity name: Fully automatic production line for gasoline engine pistons

Production line technical description: Mainly composed of 7 CNC piston outer cylindrical vertical lathes, 6 vertical machining centers, 2 CNC piston irregularly shaped outer cylindrical vertical lathes (using a one-way linear servo tool post system), 1 CNC piston combination boring machine, and 1 CNC piston irregularly shaped pinhole boring machine, etc. Workpiece transfer uses 12 FANUC articulated robots and a set of transfer chutes to cooperate in completing automatic loading and unloading, realizing unmanned automatic processing. It mainly completes the rough and fine machining processes of the piston's outer circle, ring groove, combustion chamber, pinhole, and valve recess.

This production line has a total length of approximately 32.5 meters, a total width of approximately 7.0 meters, and a total height of approximately 3.5 meters. The production line uses Mitsubishi multi-channel bus control. A typical workpiece piston weighs approximately 1 kilogram, and the processing cycle is approximately 15 seconds.
