EPL-2516A Series Fully Automatic Production Line for Diesel Engine Pistons

This production line is mainly used to complete the entire processing of Φ90~160mm ring-type aluminum alloy pistons (after casting heat treatment and rough turning of the outer circle and top surface) from the start to the completion of fine machining. The entire production line consists of Taiwan Foxwell horizontal lathes, Taiwan Foxwell vertical machining centers, and a set of CNC combined boring machines and special-shaped pin hole boring machines. Parts are transferred using a combination of articulated robots and roller conveyors, achieving high flexibility and automation of the production line. The overall technical indicators of the production line have reached the international advanced level, and the finished pistons meet the OEM manufacturers' Euro IV, Euro V, or China IV, China V emission standards.

  • Description
    • Commodity name: EPL-2516A Series Fully Automatic Production Line for Diesel Engine Pistons

Production line technical description: Mainly composed of 5 CNC piston outer cylindrical horizontal lathes, 2 vertical machining centers, 1 CNC piston shaped outer cylindrical horizontal lathe (using a set of linear servo tool post system), 1 CNC piston combination boring machine, and 1 CNC piston shaped pinhole boring machine, etc. Workpiece transfer uses 4 FANUC articulated robots and a set of transfer chutes to complete automatic loading and unloading, realizing unmanned automatic processing. It mainly completes the rough and fine machining processes of the piston's outer circle, ring groove, combustion chamber, pin hole, and valve recess.

The production line has a total length of approximately 39.0 meters, a total width of approximately 4.5 meters, and a total height of approximately 3.5 meters. The production line uses Mitsubishi multi-channel bus control. A typical workpiece piston weighs approximately 3 kilograms, and the processing cycle is approximately 60 seconds.
