On December 31, 2024, the China High-Tech Industrialization Research Association held a scientific and technological achievement evaluation meeting for the "Development and Industrialization of High-Thrust High-Density Linear Motor Technology" project completed by Changsha Epoch Direct Drive Technology Co., Ltd. The evaluation committee, composed of authoritative experts including Academician Tan Jianrong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor Chai Jianyun of Tsinghua University, conducted a comprehensive and rigorous review of our company's project achievements.
This project independently developed a core functional component for high-end CNC machine tools—a high-thrust high-density linear motor. Through continuous efforts, it solved core technical problems in structural design, electromagnetic design, cooling and temperature compensation, thrust fluctuation suppression, and end effect compensation for this type of linear motor, breaking the long-term reliance on imports in the field of high-thrust high-density linear motors and solving the key "bottleneck" problems that have plagued the domestic industry. This project has been granted 3 national invention patents, 3 utility model patents, published 1 professional paper, and drafted or participated in the formulation of 3 group standards and 1 national standard (in preparation).
The project products have been tested by the National Machine Tool Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and meet the requirements of relevant industry standards. After the products were put on the market, many users reported that the use effect can completely replace imports, and the products are reliable and have extremely broad prospects for promotion and application. The evaluation committee unanimously determined that our company's "Development and Industrialization of High-Thrust High-Density Linear Motor Technology" project has achieved "internationally advanced level" and agreed to pass the scientific and technological achievement evaluation.
