Carry forward the spirit of Jinggangshan, strengthen ideals and beliefs - Epoch Direct Drive Party branch November Jinggangshan red trip themed Party day activity
To thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, allowing Party members to experience the footprints of revolutionary martyrs firsthand, understand revolutionary history, and improve their Party spirit, from November 15th to 17th, 2024, the branch organized Party members, active applicants for Party membership, and applicants for Party membership to visit the Jinggangshan Red Culture Education Base to carry out a themed Party day activity: "Carry Forward the Jinggangshan Spirit, Strengthen Ideological Beliefs."

On the afternoon of the 15th, branch members collectively visited the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Museum. Through the pictures and exhibits in the museum, they felt the struggle spirit of countless revolutionary martyrs who shed their blood and sacrificed their lives in difficult environments to ignite the revolutionary spark, and deeply understood the connotation of the Jinggangshan spirit: "firm belief, arduous struggle; seeking truth from facts, daring to blaze new trails; relying on the masses, daring to win."
Afterwards, branch members collectively went to the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery. In a solemn atmosphere, they lined up neatly, presented wreaths, observed a moment of silence to pay tribute, and commemorated the great achievements of revolutionary martyrs; Secretary Shen Yong led all Party member comrades, facing the bright red Party flag, solemnly raised their right hands, and solemnly renewed their oath to join the Party. Those sonorous and powerful oaths echoed at the event site, as if bringing all Party member comrades back to the moment when they joined the Party with enthusiasm. After the oath, Secretary Shen Yong introduced the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs and the basic situation of the Jinggangshan revolutionary base area, the formation and practice of Chairman Mao's "going to the mountains" ideology, the historical experience during the Jinggangshan struggle, the connotation of the Jinggangshan spirit, and its contemporary value through vivid examples.

Leaving the Martyrs Cemetery, strolling along the sparkling Yi Cui Lake, all members of the branch then visited the Jinggangshan Torch Square and the former residence of Chairman Mao in Ciping. On October 27, 1927, Chairman Mao led the Autumn Harvest Uprising troops from the Hunan-Jiangxi border to Ciping, which became the cradle of the revolution. In the hall of the house, Chairman Mao held many important meetings of the Party, government, and army, studying and deploying various tasks in the base area.

On the 16th, the branch organized a visit to the magnificent Jinggangshan scenic area, focusing on Huangyangjie. Retracing the path of the Red Army, the steep mountains and dangerous passes. Standing at the sentry post of Huangyangjie, the undulating mountains in front of us seemed to take us back to that war-torn era. The scene of the Red Army soldiers defending their positions with bravery and tenacity seemed to be right in front of our eyes. Every plant, every tree, every stone, and every monument here tells of the magnificence and greatness of the revolutionary struggle. It also deeply understood the heroic and inspiring spirit of "The cannons roar on Huangyangjie, reporting the enemy's night flight."

On the 17th, the last day of the activity, all Party members went to Maoping Octagon Building, Longjiang Academy, and Jinggangshan Red Army Meeting Square for visits and study. Under the oil lamp in the Octagon Building, Chairman Mao wrote two brilliant works: "Why Can the Chinese Red Political Power Survive?" and "The Jinggangshan Struggle." In Longjiang Academy, Chairman Mao created the first military officer training team, cultivating a large number of outstanding military and political talents for the armed struggle of workers and peasants in the Hunan-Jiangxi border. The successful meeting of the Jinggangshan army greatly strengthened the revolutionary armed forces of Jinggangshan and promoted the development of the national revolutionary cause, which has far-reaching significance.
The three-day activity allowed all Party members of the branch to have a deeper understanding and perception of the Jinggangshan spirit, truly realizing that today's happy life is bought with the blood and lives of countless revolutionary martyrs, and that we must cherish the hard-won peaceful environment, continue to carry forward the glorious traditions and fine style of revolutionary predecessors, and integrate the Jinggangshan spirit of firm belief, seeking truth from facts, arduous struggle, and relying on the masses into daily work and life, and on the journey to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, to practice the original aspiration and mission of Communists with practical actions.
