On January 11, 2020, the 2019 Annual Joint Work Conference was grandly held in Changsha, hosted by six major industry associations and alliances (hereinafter referred to as the "Six Associations"): Hunan Machine Tool Industry Association, Hunan Robot and Intelligent Equipment Vocational Education Group, Changsha 3D Printing Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, Changsha Robot Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, Changsha CNC Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, and Changsha Ordnance Special Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance.
Liu Hui, Deputy Inspector of Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Sheng Xiangrao, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Engineer of Changsha Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, delivered speeches. They fully affirmed the work and achievements of the "Six Associations" in 2019 and put forward ideas and suggestions for the work of industry associations and alliances in 2020. They urged the "Six Associations" to strengthen platform infrastructure construction and enhance service functions, make new contributions to industrial development and the research, development, and application of new technologies, and accelerate the high-quality development of the province's equipment manufacturing industry.
In the second segment of the conference, Tang Yong, Director of the Equipment Industry Division of Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology; Du Zhiqiang, expert from China Machine Tool Industry Association; and Cai Weici, expert from China Machinery Industry Federation, respectively delivered keynote reports on "Accelerating the Promotion of Intelligent Manufacturing to Lead the High-Quality Development of Hunan Manufacturing," "Analysis and Outlook on the Development of the Machine Tool Industry," and "Review of the Situation of the Machinery Industry in 2019".
Tang Yong stated that although Hunan's intelligent manufacturing has shortcomings compared to the national goal of a strong manufacturing sector, it has broad development prospects. Based on this, Hunan should deepen the development of intelligent manufacturing, solidly build an ecological system, and continuously accelerate the construction in the fields of policies and regulations, application promotion, and talent cultivation, using intelligent manufacturing to promote the high-quality development of Hunan manufacturing.
During the conference, the wonderful speeches by the guests elicited enthusiastic applause and discussions from the participants. Relevant leaders, guests, and representatives communicated and exchanged in-depth views, offering valuable suggestions for the development of CNC machine tools, 3D printing, robotics, and the ordnance industry in Hunan Province. The successful convening of this annual meeting has pointed the way and laid a solid foundation for industrial progress and deeper cooperation among associations and alliances in 2020.
