Good News | The electromagnetic catapult system of the Kekeban version has been shipped
On the eve of the August 1st Army Day, Changsha Yitao Magnetic Control Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (Yitao Magnetic Control) completed factory testing of a science and education version electromagnetic catapult system developed for a certain teaching and research unit.

The electromagnetic catapult system consists of an energy storage power supply unit, a variable frequency drive unit, a positioning and speed measurement unit, a linear motor, an eddy current brake, and an operating console. The total length of the motor track is only 4.8 meters. With a launch load of 10 kg, the armature must complete the acceleration, braking, stopping, and return actions, and the maximum exit speed can reach 100 km/h. The system also has an eddy current brake to ensure safe braking of the armature in case of loss of control.
By configuring a power energy storage unit, the demand on the power grid capacity is greatly reduced. Taking this project as an example, with a power grid power of only 20 kW, the instantaneous output power of the motor can reach more than 600 kW through the configuration of the energy storage unit.

The linear motor adopts a single-sided installation method, suitable for light and small catapult needs with an exit speed ≤30 m/s and a launch load ≤20 kg. It has low cost and good stability. The company also has a mature double-sided linear motor solution, which is applied to scenarios with greater thrust and higher acceleration requirements.
The science and education version electromagnetic catapult system is an ideal platform for teaching or research related to motor principles, control theory, energy storage research and development, and power electronics technology. It can also be used for scientific research experiments such as unmanned aerial vehicle electromagnetic catapulting.
