Application scenario: Fully automatic production line for EPL-6516A steel pistons

 

Product Introduction:
This production line is mainly used to complete all machining processes of steel piston semi-finished blanks from the start to the finish of fine machining. The entire production line's processing equipment consists of a YiPai dual-spindle vertical multi-functional lathe, a Taiwan Fukuyu vertical machining center, and a YiPai CNC irregular pin hole boring machine. Part transfer uses a combination of articulated robots and a ring-shaped material path, achieving high flexibility and high automation of the production line. The overall technical indicators of the production line have reached the international advanced level.

Production Line Technical Description: Mainly composed of 2 dual-spindle CNC piston outer circle vertical lathes, 2 vertical machining centers, 2 dual-spindle CNC piston irregular outer circle vertical lathes (using a YiPai linear servo tool post system), 1 CNC piston irregular pin hole boring machine, 1 piston cleaning machine, etc. Workpiece transfer uses 4 FANUC articulated robots and two ring-shaped transfer material paths to cooperate in automatic loading and unloading, realizing unmanned automatic processing. It mainly completes the rough and fine machining processes of the piston's outer circle, ring groove, top surface, combustion chamber, pin hole, and valve recess.
    
The production line has a total length of approximately 26.0 meters, a total width of approximately 8.0 meters, and a total height of approximately 3.5 meters. The production line uses Mitsubishi multi-channel bus control. The typical workpiece piston weighs approximately 5 kilograms, and the processing cycle is approximately 180 seconds.
