Application scenario: Production line for high-power diesel engine pistons

 

Product Introduction:
This production line is mainly used to complete all machining processes of φ120~240mm ring-type aluminum alloy piston semi-finished blanks from loading to finishing. The entire production line's machining equipment consists of a set of vertical multi-functional lathes, Taiwan's Fuyu vertical machining centers, and a set of CNC irregular pinhole boring machines. Part transfer uses a combination of articulated robots and automatic feeding channels, achieving high flexibility and high automation of the production line. The overall technical indicators of the production line have reached the international advanced level.
Production Line Technical Description: Mainly composed of 3 single-column CNC piston outer circle vertical lathes, 3 vertical machining centers, 1 double-spindle CNC piston irregular outer circle vertical lathe (using a Yipai linear servo tool post system), 1 CNC piston irregular pinhole boring machine, and 1 piston pinhole combination boring machine, etc. Workpiece transfer uses 3 FANUC articulated robots and 4 sections of transfer channels to cooperate in automatic loading and unloading, realizing unmanned automatic processing. It mainly completes the rough and fine machining processes of the piston's outer circle, ring groove, top surface, combustion chamber, pinhole, and valve recess.
The production line has a total length of about 28.0 meters, a total width of about 6.0 meters, and a total height of about 3.5 meters. The production line uses Mitsubishi multi-channel bus control. The typical workpiece piston weighs about 10 kilograms, and the processing cycle is about 180~240 seconds.
